FAQ's

Are you a non–smoking cottage?
Yes – all areas of the cottage are designated as non-smoking, except the garden patio/garden.
We do not wish to make those guests who do smoke feel unwelcome however, and we do provide a sand bucket on the garden patio for cigarrette ends.

What time is check-in?
Check-in is from 4pm. Earlier check-in may be available on request, during months Nov-Feb where there may not be a successive booking.
(Why....we are almost always 100% full March to October inclusive, hence need to maintain changeover rules).

What time is check-out?
Check-out is requested by 10.30am.
Our cottage changeover help needs adequate time to thoroughly clean, and change bedding, and run through a checklist.
We also need time to manage garden lawns/hedges.

Do you have WiFi?
Yes, in the main cottage lounge there is a BT Broadband router, bespoke for Middle Cottage guests.
The WIFI access key is in the welcome pack.
The system speed is adequate, but we would not say very fast i.e. not on fibreoptic cable, and being rural some way from the BT Exchange which does affect speed.
We think you will find it very acceptable if not the fastest you ever used.

Do you take dogs?
Yes, but only by agreement on booking, and on occasion we may decline to allow certain or dangerous breeds.
(Friendly pet domesticated alsatians are welcome for example, but not aggressive alsatians used as premises guard dogs).
We do charge £15 for each extra dog, over the first, and depending on the breed/size, we would usually allow more than one dog but striclty on agreement during booking.
Please always let us know when making a price enquiry whether or not you wish to bring a dog.

Do you have parking?
We have plenty of parking for our guests around the rear of the cottage, off road, inside a gated garden gravel drive area.
Whilst cars are parked at their owners risk, they should be very safe there indeed, based on our experience of living in Llanmadoc.

What are your booking conditions?
We ask for a 30% deposit on booking (or within 7 days).
Once the booking is confirmed, we ask for the balance payment to be made two calendar months prior to arrival.
Therefore if you arrive on 13th August, then your balance should be settled on 13th June.

What are your cancellation conditions?
Any cancellations made prior to two calendar months prior to arrival, we simply refund all deposits paid (and any balance also paid if paid early).
After that i.e. within two months of arrival, we will hold on to your balance and we will try to re-book the week in question.
If we do manage to re-book the week in question, and assuming we rebook at the full original price, then we will make a full refund of your deposit.
If the (replacement) re-booking is less than the original price we reserve the right to retain the difference. (This is usually unlikely).
