Fish and Chips:

The choices are

Our Village:
Hake in lager batter and chips in The Britannia - can't be beaten;

Penclawdd: Gower Sole:- An Excellent Fish n Chip Shop, probably the best in Gower, offering a variety of freshly cooked fish options (All in batter some cooked by other methods fried/steamed/poached - to include Cod, Whiting, Bass, Hake, Haddock, Mullet, Local Flounder, Plaice, Skate, Red Mullet, Pollack, Sea Bream, and Salmon, with freshly cooked chips. Also try their home made chicken nuggets (not like the rubbish you usually get), and curry sauce.

The King Arthur - at Reynoldston (see above) serves a great Cod (or sometimes Hoki / Haddock / Hake) with home made chips - really excellent. Beer Battered Cod/Hake - or Cajun Hake also tasty.

Gorseinon:  if you fancy a 25 mins drive - the Roma Fish Bar  or the ROMA 2000 Fish Bar in Gorseinon is excellent

Mumbles: Covelli's in Newton Road or Yallop's on the Seafront in Mumbles. Both famous and very good. Also Johnny's Chippy down the side street (Opposite Newton Packed Meals Chinese takeaway just behind Covellis). Also very good for a chinese takeaway.

Curry

Take away - best bet is The King Balti in Gowerton but it is a 20 mins drive. The other Curry House in Gowerton is not bad either eat in or take away. There is also an indian restaurant in Penclawdd - as yet untried. La Ouila on Mumbles Front is a great eat in venue as is Chutneys in Newton Rd., Mumbles. and Mumbai Spice, next to the Woodmans at Blackpill, near Mumbles, Swansea.

Chinese sit in

The China Sea Garden in Penclawdd is the best sit in chinese restaurant in Gower. (Its also the only one!)  Website: www.seagarden.food-passion.co.uk   Tel: 01792 872886
